Since 1989  Waladi Child Education Fund of Toronto started holding events to raise funds in order to support education programs locally and internationally. We were fortunate to raise enough money to currently support thousands of Children in Canada as well as in various countries such as Uganda, South Africa, Brazil, and Lebanon.

Some of our previous events include:

·         The "Around the world Gastronomic Evening with Chef Simon Kattar"  at the Gardiner Museum featured live music and a silent auction raised funds to support the Gardiner Museum's Education and Outreach programs as well as  Waladi education fund for underprivileged children.

·         The "Masque" Ball at the Gardiner Museum featured live music, silent auction, costumes, and lots of delectable food, and raised money to support the Gardiner Museum's Education and Outreach programs as well as Doctors without borders program to lessen the suffering of children with AIDS in Afric

·         Waladi’s founder Simon Kattar's Birthday Gala was held at St. Lawrence town hall and raised funds to maintain and support programs in Canada and Lebanon. 

·        Waladi "My Child" Foundation held its "Shoot for the Moon" Gala series at the Gardiner Museum .

·         An intimate dinner was created by five celebrated Toronto Chefs including Simon Kattar, Didier Leroy, Jeff Dueck, Dufflet Rosenberg, and Gillian Didier Serrer to raise money to help Native Canadian, Brazilian, and Lebanese Children.

·         The Gala dinner at the Arcadian Court in Downtown Bay store raised money to help children from Brazil, Uganda, Lebanon, and Armenia to continue their education

·        Waladi "My Child" held its third The “Latina”Gala event at the Royal Ontario Museum raised funds to send children from Brazil, Uganda, Armenia, and Lebanon to school.

·         The “Arabian Nights” gala event at Toronto's St. Lawrence hall raised enough funds to send 150 Lebanese children to school for a full year.
